electric Xchange is a night
devoted to high quality progressive electronic music on a non-pretentious
base: Love for Dance Music. Each edition a different International
Line-up of DJ’s and Live Acts will be invited to Xchange the
unique sound from Berlin, the city of beats, with the Amsterdam underground
dance sound.
Artlaunch invites DJ’s to share and exchange
their love for Dance Music. We specially combine DJ’s and Live
Acts who love to play together and in some cases never had the chance
to do so before. Back to back sets will be one of the many ways we
will make this night an unique Xchange.
Around midnight the backroom of Studio 80 opens up
for another editon of our ArtLaunch DJ Cafe.

This
2nd edition of electric Xchange at
Studio 80 takes place on Thursday December 14th and features Matthew
Styles (Crosstown Rebels, London) and Prosumer (Panoramabar,
Berlin / Playhouse Records).
As label manager at Crosstown Rebels, Matthew
Styles has up till now been the secret weapon in the Rebels DJ team armory.
After receiving critical acclaim for the See You @ The Party CD on
Music For Freaks, Matthew has created a buzz and a great deal of
love for his exceptional DJ sets at some of the world's coolest clubs,
particularly the Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, Pulp in Paris
and Fabric in London. Matthew is a DJ and producer on the rise.
Matthew
Styles runs Crosstown Rebels, London’s finest electro/techno/house
imprint, with Damian Lazarus, and has thus been responsible for
putting out all manner of classic tracks and versions from the
likes of Kiki & Silversurfer, Hiem, Mish
Mash, Konrad Black, Mathew Jonson, Frankie Flowerz, Alex Smoke,
Black Strobe, Holden and Pier
Bucci’s Familia LP.

Prosumer aka Achim Brandenburg lives in Berlin, where
he has been producing music since 2000. He is a resident DJ at the
Panoramabar and recently played the Fabric in London.
The word Prosumer describes people who are not only
consumers but at the same time also producers of the item used by
them. And if you’re into
old school Chicago house than he's the one for you! Laurent
Garnier wrote about
Prosumer’s “The Craze”: “It is what house music is
all about, full proper emotions, stunning vocal and a real funky groove! It
is absolutely awesome!”.
Prosumer's latest release
is his remix of Sebo-K's “Moved”on Mobilee's
Back to Back Remix Series Vol. 1 for which he
also did the vocals.
